The importance of school education lies in the fact that the children of today will create better work opportunities. Our ideology stands for inclusive education, care for the marginalized, academic excellence, holistic education, care for the environment, formation of character and value based education.
Jaunpur development block of Uttarakhand is a socially and economically backward area. Education, unemployment, poor road connectivity, lack of Medical facilities and distant educational institutions are some of the problems of this small area which have led to massive migration from the village. Common people are leaving their roots in search of better employment opportunities and educational facilities for their children.
Rahul Shah and Dilbar Singh have taken a small initiative to mitigate this problem to some extent by providing the children with good and modern educational facilities at village level by opening an English medium school “S.F. Memorial School” in 2016. The main reason for opening the school is to end the migration, and maintain the quality of education in the local community, by introducing the modern teaching methodologies. To create awareness about modern education, they are providing free education to every second child from a family and girl child.
The school has made a commendable effort to bring some closure to migration since 2016 and has brought over 10 families back to Jaunpur. The school offers higher education for students at very low costs. They are operating without the aid of any governmental or private institution and have adopted approximately 40 children since 2016, with no tuition, maintenance or book fees. Online classes were organized by the school for students, even in lockdowns, which had no impact on children's education.
The lockdown period impacted the entire school system and people started migrating to provide better education to their children. At present school is running till the class 8th with a staff of 11 among which 8 are teachers, 1 clerk, and 1 cleaning lady. It has become extremely difficult for them to hire English speaking, B.Ed. certified teachers because of high wages demand. Presently, they operate the school out of their own resources and are constantly confronted with problems in the management of the school.
The school management called upon educational institutions to support the quality education of children living in the mountains to obtain better education. We are coming together and performing the act of kindness by contributing to the education of children living in Uttrakhand. Will you come in support?

The school started in 2016 with the aim to mitigate the migration and provide quality education to the children in Jaunpur, Uttarakhand. The school made commendable efforts to bring some closure to migration.
The school brought 8-10 families back from Dehradun, Vikasnagar, Masoori and many more places. Students hope to get the same education in their district as any student gets in urban places.
